This is our commitment as believers in Christ
Purpose
As the House of God, this ministry will operate as a place of refuge for people who are seeking an opportunity. They are seeking opportunity to change, to worship, to fellowship, and to experience the fullness of God. We are committed not only to those that are members, but also to the community at large as well. By effective in-reach, effective outreach will be possible. In our commitment to effective ministry, we will embrace the opportunity to fellowship and work in partnership with other ministries abroad. “By any means possible,” we seek to reach the lost and equip the believer for the glory of the Lord.
Mission Statement
Through five-fold ministry, our mission is geared towards Reaching, Encouraging, and Empowering the people of our community.
Reach To reach out beyond ourselves that we may impact someone else. To study and discover different methods of in-reach as well as outreach. To also promote fellowship and unity with other believers that together we may reach the lost with the purpose of sharing with them the Love of God. (John 13:35)
Encourage With the sole purpose of seeing people made whole; we will restore, love, heal, embrace, motivate, and attempt to touch the life of the individual person. We will not only speak about it, but we will show the Love of God to them. (Gal 2:20)
Empower Not only will we preach, but we will teach the Word of God as well. We are instructed to get an understanding in all things through the Word. We will teach that same understanding so the people will be equipped to stand. As we concentrate on basic principles of Godly living, we will create an atmosphere where the individual grows Spiritually.
Through Spiritual growth, the individual will be empowered to go forth and face their challenges confidently and effectively. (Luke 22:31-32)
In all things that we do, we will do for the good of whole church and body. In conjunction with this, we will also seek to minister to the individual.
While there is but one body, that one body is made up of different Individuals.
True doctrine is the infallible Word of God. The truth of God is truly revealed only in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. In 2Timothy 3:16 and 17, Paul writes, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
As Jude encouraged us, we should sincerely strive for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints. The truth of Biblical doctrine is the foundation upon which a church congregation is to be built.
The church stands for the Bible in its entirety, rightly divided using the New Testament as the rules for government and discipline. Therefore, the Greater Saint Matthew’s Fellowship Church and Covenant Ministries shall accept the Holy Scriptures as the revealed word of God. It is by the doctrine found in the Holy Scriptures that the Greater Saint Matthew’s Fellowship Church and Covenant Ministries shall be governed. We believe that the Holy Scriptures are a true revelation from God to man. The Holy Scriptures reveals the principles by which God judges the world. The Holy Scriptures are the true center of Christian relationship and the only standard by which all conducts and beliefs should be tried.
